About The Scullery

Florrie Purcell: The Scullery

Florrie’s business has evolved from concepts developed over her Aga asa child helping her mum to being a successful artisan producer of finestquality relishes, pickles, sauces, Christmas Puddings and cakes.

Many of Florrie’s recipes are being made to the same recipe for over four generations of Florrie’s family. The finest qualityingredients, mixed into a symphony of perfection that will bring back wonderfulmemories of tastes and times past. Quite simply, this is edible history.

Having qualified in Catering Management in Cathal Brugha Street, shetravelled and worked her way through three continents broadening both herexperience, her knowledge and appreciation of world tastes.

The Scullery is justifiably proud of the reputation it has gained as apurveyor of sauces, pickles, relishes and Christmas Plum Puddings.

They are made using exacting standards and top quality ingredientsthat taste absolutely divine.

From humble beginnings The Scullery recognised and cornered a niche inthe marketplace, realising at the outset that the modern consumer cares deeplyabout the origin of their food.

Therefore, Sculleryhas created a range that is totally free from artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, MSG or GM ingredients.

The products that you now see are the result of trial and error by theowner, Florrie Purcell, slaving over her Aga to ensure that her products arethe best they can be in taste, texture and presentation.

Today, things are somewhat different although in many ways, little haschanged. The products are still created by Florrie, who remains an artisanproducer under the supervision of a food technologist, in compliance with BRC, grade A.

But the sauces, pickles, relishes and Christmas Plum Puddings havestill got the same genuine honest flavour that consumers yearn for.

This brand is no stranger to innovationeither. From handmade individual puddings for the grab-and-go market to tastycompotes for a major porridge-to-go product, The Scullery works closely withsome of the biggest food brands to come up with groundbreaking new ideas for ahungry market.
